Reetha powder can be used as a hair cleanser for all hair types.
Reetha is the Hindi name for 'soap nut', which is a small and round fruit of the soap nut tree.
The soap nut tree is a member of the Sapindus genus and is native to countries with a warm climate. It is commonly found in India. The word "Sapindus" is derived from two Latin words, namely, "saponins" meaning "soap" and "indicus" which means "India".
Reetha is a gentle, economical, and completely natural alternative to commonly used chemical detergents. It contains saponins, which are natural surfactants, which is why reetha is used for many things, such as washing clothes or as a household cleaning agent. While reetha can be used for washing practically anything, it is most popularly used for washing hair. In India, reetha is a common ingredient in shampoos.
