Organic amla powder is made from dried and powdered organic amla fruit and is a powerful natural hair conditioner and scalp cleaner.
Amla, known as Indian Gooseberry, is the fruit of the myrobalan tree, which is native to India and Burma. It is a small greenish- yellowish fruit and is known for its high content of vitamin C, which is almost 20 times the amount of vitamin C found in an orange. Amla is highly regarded in the Indian Ayurvedic lifestyle because it contains many natural soothing and restorative properties and is used as a body detoxifier and rejuvenator.
Amla has often been used to obtain long, silky hair. It acts as a natural hair tonic, which supports healthy, shiny hair and prevents premature greying. Therefore in India, Amla is a common ingredient in herbal shampoos and hair oil.

How to use
For the hair
Mix the amla powder with water and let settle. Apply to wet hair and massage into scalp. Let it stay for few minutes and then rinse.
Or;Mix the required amount of amla hair powder (five tablespoons for very short hair, more for longer hair) with hot water to make thick paste. Leave it in a glass bowl overnight or for at least two hours. Apply the mixture to the hair and the scalp and leave it on for at least 15 minutes, longer for exceptionally oily or dirty hair. Rinse off with water for beautiful gloss and shine.
For hair colour, make a thick paste of equal amount of amla and henna in hot water. Make thick paste. Leave overnight, preferably in an iron container, and then apply for dark brown to black colour.
For the face and body
Take one tablespoon of amla and mix with lukewarm water. Apply all over the face. Leave on for ten minutes. Gently scrub off the paste and rinse. Spray rose water all over your face and then use cream or moisturiser. Your skin will be clean and free of acne, pimples and other infections. The high content of Vitamin C in Amla will act as an astringent and toner for your skin.
You can even apply Khadi Amla powder all over your body, then scrub off or soak in a hot bath for clean and fresh-feeling skin.
