Andromeda was chained to rocks on the coastline, meant to be sacrificed to the sea monster that stood guard over her. Perseus, a great warrior who was returning from having slain Medusa, approached and defeated the terrible monster Cetus. He was wearing Hade’s helm which made him invisible. He set Andromeda free, fell in love and married her. The goddess Athena placed Andromeda amongst the constellations in the Northern sky to shine forever.
